Western Alzheimers had a fantastic day at the recent Roscommon Town Easter Parade on Sunday April 8th.  Many thanks to all of the volunteers who helped put the float together, to those who helped with sourcing wardrobe and props and to Paul Byron Shoes and John F. Hanley Fencing & Farm Equipment for the use of space and vehicles.  Many thanks also to everyone who donned customes, wigs and make up to bring the “Fr Ted” themed float to life – we had a great day as you can see from our selection of photos.

"OK Dougal, one last time. These are small... but the ones out there are far away. Small... far away... ah forget it!" Ted tries to put Dougal through his paces before setting off on the Western Alzheimers Float in this year's Roscommon Easter Parade.

Roscommon Easter Parade Float 11

"Father Dougal: I'm no good at judging the size of crowds, but i'd say theres around seventeen million of them out there" Dougal may be overestimating the size of the crowd at the Roscommon Easter Parade just a bit as Jack, Mrs. Doyle & Ted share a joke with the sisters on the Western Alzheimers float in advance of the Roscommon Easter Parade on Easter Sunday last.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to everyone who held a Tea Day for us on Friday last or over the weekend. After all the scones, cake and yummy treats consumed at Tea Days throughout Roscommon, Galway & Mayo, we’re having to let our belts out a notch today, but it’s all worth it!

Again, well done to everyone and thank you all for your fantastic support!!
