Boot Scootin’ Boogie – it’s a Charity Barn Dance on Saturday 29th June in Claremorris! The East Galway Truckers Charity Jamboree will take place this year on Sunday June the 2nd, with vintage and brand new trucks welcome. All proceeds from the event are going this year to Western Alzheimers. All trucks will gather in Ballinasloe before making their way in convoy to Ahascragh, with the last truck being driven backwards by a select number of drivers. This very special Truckers Jamboree was officially launched recently in Ahascragh. Main organisers Steve Cahill and Gerry Gacquin and their energetic committee are expecting to raise a substantial amount of money for Western Alzheimers in support of recent extensive renovations to Maryfield Nursing Home Athenry.
