There was a brillaint turnout for JIMMY BUCKLEY & HIS BAND at THE RAHEEN WOODS in Athenry recently.  The fundraising event was a massive success and huge thanks to Christine Flannery, Beatrice Kindregan and Catherine Madden for the massive effort they put in to organising the night – the hard work really paid off because a total of €14,000 (yes – FOURTEEN thousand!!) was raised!! An incredible feat – WELL DONE to everyone.

The recent Jimmy Buckley Charity fundraising dance in the Raheen Woods Hotel was a major success in every way.  The event was organised by Christine Flannery, ably assisted by her two friends, Beatrice Kindregan, and Catherine Madden.  They put in a huge effort in selling tickets, securing sponsorship and donations, and most of all ensuring that there was a “full house” in the Raheen Woods on the night.  As a result of their superb efforts, Christine was able to hand over a chq for €14,000.00 (yes-Fourteen thousand!!) to the  local Maryfield Nursing Home in Athenry, and the money raised will help fund a very important infrastructural project that is taking place in Maryfield.

Noel Higgins, Fundraising Manager for Western Alzheimers expressed his sincere thanks to Christine, Beatrice and Catherine for their outstanding achievement in raising such a large amount of money, their efforts are deeply appreciated by all in Western Alzheimers. He also thanked all who supported the fundraiser in any way, and also thanked the brilliant Jimmy Buckley and his band, and the Management and staff at Raheen Woods Hotel Athenry.
